About the event
workers.coop is scaling up its online learning programme. We are offering training on topics relevant to worker co-ops, delivered by worker co-ops.
Please note that this session has been cancelled due to low numbers and has been therefore been rescheduled to Thursday 17 April, details here.
Training: How to run a business development workshop for your own co-op
This training is part of our new series of workshops aimed specifically at the needs of worker co-ops. John Atherton is a seasoned co-op adviser and has been supporting worker co-ops for 14 years. This session is not just about learning something new, but giving you practical exercises you can take away and run within your own worker co-op.
You will gain:
- A better understanding of what your products and markets are and how to explore these within your co-op
- A quick introduction to a range of exercises you could use with your co-op, at least one practically run through in the session itself
- A crib sheet to follow and the confidence to run something similar with your own co-op
- A curated list of links and further reading to continue your learning journey
This session is aimed at:
- Co-ops or individuals with little experience of business and product development.
How many times have those of us who may be in smaller or new co-ops felt like we are firefighting, unable to put the time into business planning or facing an unexpected need to adapt? Getting in outside expert help is often beyond our budgets. This training equips you to carry out business development planning inside out, in your own co-op and gain these essential skills yourself.
