Peer Network: What is consent decision-making?

About the event

Why are people claiming that Sociocracy is such a good choice for co-op governance? What is consent decision-making? How can consent provide a foundation for cooperation? Get a brief introduction to consent and Sociocracy in cooperatives from Nathaniel Whitestone from A Fairer Society, who with his students launched the world's first sociocratic cooperative management consultancy in 2010. We will then have a collective discussion to share our experiences of governance within our specific co-ops, including challenges and learnings.

Want to connect, learn and get support from other worker cooperators with similar challenges? Join this peer network.

workers.coop offers a range of peer networks, all following a similar format.

  • Informal peer to peer support on a particular topic
  • Sharing resources on a topic

This Peer-Network will be focussed on governance:

  • Why are people claiming that Sociocracy is such a good choice for co-op governance?
  • What is consent decision-making?
