Whether new to co-operatives or experienced co-operators, this workshop is suitable for those wanting to explore and deepen their knowledge of the co-operative values and principles and how you can effectively put them into practice.   

You will gain:

During this workshop, participants will:

• Describe how values and principles define co-operative identity and consider why they are important 
• Reflect on how organisations manifest co-operative values and principles in their governance and/or working practices 
• Compare how values and principles are manifested by different types of co-operatives in different ways  
• Consider the impact of co-operative values and principles, as well as their personal values, on their work  
• Identify steps they can take to develop and enhance the practical application of the co-operative values and principles 

This session is aimed at:

• All members of worker co-operatives

Pre workshop information:

• The learning experience will include a brief pre-session task using the online collaboration tool, Mentimeter. Learners will be asked to complete this ahead of time so that the workshop is informed by their experiences. 

Post-workshop information:

• After the workshop is completed, learners will receive a link to an online resource bank where a copy of the session slides will be available for download along with all of the learner contributions to group activities for future reference.

Where this training will take place

This is an online training session that will take place on Zoom. The meeting link will be shared with registered participants. If there is anything we need to be aware of ahead of the session in terms of accessibility please let us know.
