In this values-led workshop participants will develop skills and behaviours to make online and face-to-face meetings effective for everyone, whether they are leading or participating in the meeting. The workshop will take the format of interactive activities, enabling learners to reflect, participate and assess what will work and why. Participants will create actionable ideas that can be implemented in future meetings to ensure they are equal and transformative for everyone.

You will gain:

In this workshop participants will develop skills and behaviours to make online and face-to-face meetings effective for everyone, whether they are leading or participating in the meeting. The workshop will take the format of interactive activities, enabling them to reflect, participate and assess what will work and why. Participants will create actionable ideas that can be implemented in future meetings to ensure they are equal and transformative for everyone.

During this workshop, participants will:

• Identify what an effective meeting looks and feels like
• Investigate techniques for participating in meetings that are transformative and equal
• Through the lens of co-operative values and principles, create actionable ideas that can provide support ahead of future meetings.

This session is aimed at:

• All members of worker coops that contribute to meetings either as a meeting lead or attendee.

Pre workshop information:

The learning experience will include a brief pre-session task using the online collaboration tool, Mentimeter. Learners will be asked to complete this ahead of time to help them focus on the topic and to provide insights into challenges they currently face within a meeting environment so that the workshop is informed by their experiences. 

Post-workshop information:

After the workshop is completed, learners will receive a link to an online resource bank where a copy of the session slides will be available for download along with all of the learner contributions to group activities for future reference.

Where this training will take place

This is an online training session that will take place on Zoom. The meeting link will be shared with registered participants. If there is anything we need to be aware of ahead of the session in terms of accessibility please let us know.
