The main purpose of the group is to be the working and thematic group of workers.coop for international representation, mutual learning, business cooperation and solidarity initiatives.

The group works in the following areas:

  1. Recruiting and appointing workers.coop’s formal representatives to international federations and networks, including, CECOP, CICOPA, and Patio.
  2. Identifying international research, education and work programmes which will potentially benefit workers.coop and its members.
  3. Facilitating international co-op to co-op and co-op to federation/network contacts and collaborations.
  4. Identifying international funding opportunities which will potentially benefit workers.coop and its members.
  5. Informing workers.coop and its members about worker co-op international solidarity initiatives, and signposting opportunities for them to intervene.

Group members meet online every month to discuss new information related to the group areas, and we also share information and news via email and other channels between meetings. For example, we can discuss what is happening between organisations in different countries and how we can improve different aspects of cooperation or increase solidarity. We are open to new ideas and eager to hear about new international projects related to cooperatives.

We can share information, find contacts or resources, or answer questions about cooperation between cooperatives. Feel free to contact us if you are looking for information related to the group areas.

It doesn’t matter what organisation you represent, we can contact individuals who are interested in our work. We can also discuss cooperation between cooperatives with cooperative representatives. We are ready to get in touch with people from all over the world.
