Glasgow Co-op Meet-up (evening)

About the event

Glasgow’s informal co-op meetup, come along to meet other worker co-operators

Fourwalls Housing Co-op, now part of Sanctuary Housing Association, was set up in Glasgow as an independent feminist housing co-op in the 1980s.

Come and hear the story of Fourwalls from one of the founders, Lucinda Broadbent (media co-op) and current tenant Babs Nicgriogair (Greencity Wholefoods).

With housing co-ops currently very much on the back foot in Scotland, Fourwalls' trajectory from small independent housing co-op to part of one of the UK’s largest housing associations sheds light on the challenges of setting up and running a housing co-op today.

This is an informal conversational event with tea / coffee provided. BYO snacks.
